Great garage door FAQs for all customers.
What are the basic spring differences?
Garage door springs come in different sizes and in two types (torsion and extension springs). Some springs are meant for heavy-duty commercial garage door systems and although most of them last for 10,000 cycles, some may last for less or more according to our experts in Moss Beach.
Why must I place center bearings to torsion springs?
The center bearings placed in torsion spring garage door systems are very important for the good stability of the shaft running through the torsion spring. Don't forget that the spring is long and must lift heavy doors and the center bearing keeps it steady.
Are garage doors expensive to replace?
The cost of replacement will depend primarily on the type of door which you opt for. The models with better insulation and higher R-value and those made from luxury materials like glass and wood are costlier. The cost of the replacement service does not vary greatly between the different types of doors.
What should I do if the remote does not work?
First of all, replace the batteries. If the remote still doesn’t work with fresh batteries, then you might have to fix the code and match it with the code of your automatic garage door opener, according to our specialists. If none of these works, you might have to replace it.
